- How
soon will my account be set up and ready for use?
Your account will be set up within 24 hours. Your site can be
uploaded to our servers immediately after receiving the welcome
email, which will contain the IP address for your account, plus
the password for the username chosen during signup. In fact,
we recommend that clients start uploading their site as soon
as possible after setup is complete, so that once domain transfer
is completed, the site will be available for use by your visitors.

- Do
I have access to update my site 24 hours a day?
Absolutely. Whether you're a day person or a night owl, your
site is available for you to update.

you register a domain name for me? Can you set up domains other
than .com, .org, and .net?

you as the registrant. We can also assist with registering other

you offer a money back guarantee?
Yes. If for any reason during the first 30 days as a TerraWeb
Technologies customer, you are not completely satisfied with
any of our services, we will cancel your account and refund
your money for that month's service.

- I
see some hosts offering "unlimited bandwidth". Why don't you
offer this?
Technically speaking, there is no such thing as "unlimited bandwidth".
Someone has to pay for the traffic somewhere - and if you check
the fine print of some service agreements from companies who
claim to offer unlimited bandwidth, you'll probably find that
they do charge for traffic over a certain amount. We dispense
with the fine print.

- Do
you host Adult sites, warez sites or sites containing illegal
material?
No. Please see our Acceptable Use Policy
for policies regarding this.
- Is
my site backed up and how often?
Yes backups are done daily on all servers, a daily incremental
back up and a monthly full backup. The full backups are placed
onto tapes and are stored for one month while the incremental
backups are stored onto disk and kept until the next full backup
is performed.

- How
fast are your connections?
Our servers our located in the Alabanza Network Operations Center
(NOC), located in Baltimore, Maryland. The NOC is OnNet with
GlobalCenter (GC), Qwest Communications and GTE through three
separate bandwidth-on-demand connections which enter Baltimore
in our building. GC, a Tier 1 provider whose 13,000-mile fiber
optic network and Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology
provide an enormous 460 gigabytes per second (Gbps) of capacity
worldwide, has an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) fiber node
located just a few floors below the NOC. Qwest comes into Baltimore
with an OC-12 line and plans to upgrade their connection to
an OC-48 in the near future. They also have an ATM fiber node
floors below the NOC. Our Qwest connection enables us to offer
additional redundancy and better routes to Europe, Latin America
and Asia. With our carriers, our router has up to 150,000 possible
routes to send each packet of traffic. Genuity, a division of
GTE, is our third Tier One Internet backbone. Genuity provides
excellent network performance as a result of their high-speed
peering arrangements with other Tier One Internet backbone providers.
The GTE global network delivers customers directly onto the
Internet via a high-speed connection to its private, super-capacity
backbone, including 17,000 miles of fiber and OC192 capacity.
It is comprised of more than 800 U.S. local access points and
approximately 1,500 international local access points in more
than 150 countries. Furthermore, because of these unique connections,
we do not need to link to the Internet though an OC3 or T3 Telecom
circuit. Instead, independent cables run inside our building
directly from the NOC to all three carriers points of presence.
These lines can handle the bandwidth of a T3 or an OC3 with
DWDM. Plus, they handle several times the bandwidth of an OC3.

are your server specifications?

All CGI scripts should be uploaded to the cgi-bin folder, located

- I
uploaded my files, but I don't see my page?
If our default "Welcome to the Future home of", index.html,
has not been replaced by another index page, then anyone going
to domainname.com will still see that page instead of some other
home page. This is the order in which the web server looks for
a page to put up as the "home" page: >DirectoryIndex default.htm
index.phtml index.pht index.cgi index.shtml index.html welcome.cgi
welcome.html index.htm Just delete the index.hmtl file and anything
after it in this list will then come up automatically. Notice
that "home.html" is NOT on the list and so will not show up
as your home page. You would need to rename it.
